Research Paper:
The research paper will include two components: a written paper and a PowerPoint presentation. Students are expected to use various sources (articles, peer-reviewed articles, books, internet sources, etc.) to develop a research paper on a topic chosen from the list of topics that will be provided. The paper must be divided into the following headings: introduction/literature review, study methodology, study findings/results, discussion/conclusions, and references. The grading of your paper will be based on how well all aspects of the paper are covered, the quality of writing, the content and depth of the paper, and documentation of sources. Please refer to course policy #8 for additional criteria for all written assignments. In addition, a writing rubric will be provided as an additional guideline. The paper must be at least 10 pages in length, excluding the cover page and reference pages. At least 10 references must be used for this assignment (7 must be peer-reviewed journal articles). Students are expected to use the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines for citations and references.
