end?” It is something that all conscientious speakers try to avoid. The Toast Masters Organization works specifically with people on just this – how to use one’s voice
to entice and excite an audience. Vocal qualities are the focus of this discussion activity.
Using YouTube or American Rhetoric, find a college graduate keynote speech that represents all the best vocal qualities, as described in your textbook (c.f., module
notes).
Once you find this speech, I would like you to do the following:
Write a post explaining why the speaker’s voice has best practice qualities – be specific, focusing on the actual words and behavior
Put a link to the speech in the post
Upon completion of posting, read two of your peers’ posts and watch the recommended speeches. Respectfully comment upon why you agree or disagree with their respective
choices.
