Identify one problem behavior you are ambivalent about working on (not to heavy – though your entries will be kept private), and answer the following motivational interviewing questions in a minimum of 300/maximum 500 words.

  • What will happen if you do change the problem behavior? What will happen if you do not?
  • On the following scale of 1 to 10… what number best reflects how ready you are at the present time to change your behavior? Explain why you selected this particular number.
  • What would need to happen for your change score to move one number up on the scale? Be specific.
  • How does this experience enhance your professional development?
