MRI studies of spinal cord injury

MRI studies of spinal cord injury (Order Description
this is the instructions below
i will attach a paper showinh the exactly way how to injure the mouse in this project ,, you should mention a litile about it
i will attach another file showing hows another proposal has been written but in different subject
my part will be in
The high resolution structural MRI(T1 + MR spectroscopy) which is white matter/ grey matter atrophy
you should read carefully the aim of this project which is written down and try to include it
MRI studies of spinal cord injury (

1 student diffusion/perfusion, 1 student white matter/grey matter atrophy

(The aim of this project is to use MRI biomarkers (T1 anatomical structure to measure atrophy; diffusion MRI to measure axonal/myelin damage; perfusion imaging to
measure changes in tissue perfusion and spectroscopy to measure changes of metabolites) to determine the extent of damage and recovery from traumatic spinal cord
injury.
Mouse spinal cord injury (N=4 each) will be performed on thoracic T8 level, using a focal impactor by our collaborator Dr Marc Ruitenberg (SBMS). Scans will be
performed at 6 time points: pre-injury, 2h, 1 day, 2 day, 7d and 35 day post injury. Each scan will take 2h to complete.
Animal number N=4 represents the minimum requirement, and this number has been used previously Brenan et al., 2013 and Brenan et al. 2016 (in press) to achieve
statistical significance in diffusion study.
9.4T system)

tomorrow i will send to you information about the machine which using in this project the company and the name
