4. Look up covenant in a Bible dictionary and determine its role
in Israelite religion.
The word covenant in the bible dictionary I found in the Kings
James Version, is defined as “a contract or agreement between two parties
(Covenant, n.d.). How the covenant role is related to the in the Israelite
religion is that they were assured by God that he would not only deliver them
from Egypt but make them God’s people, be their God, and lastly give them their
own land (Tullock & McEntire, 2012). When Moses gave the instructions to
the people they ignored him, he took his concerns to God and was told to keep
telling them.
