Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements
Please select research from a reputable scientific or application journals ONLY.
You must first select a journal article of interest. The article must describe application, theory, or methodology related to the topics of the course. This includes LP, GP, MOLP, Sensitivity Analysis, Duality, and so on, all areas of research are acceptable (deterministic or stochastic). The journal article must be recent within the last 5 years only. Then you must dissect the article for the following:
1. Describe the over all problems and its impact described in the article. Thus, you must describe whether the problem is a global, regional, or field specific problem. Identify the key stakeholders and describe them and what the impact is of the over all problem.
2. Describe the model used or described in the article. This includes a discussion of the decision variables, and the basics of objectives, constraints, resource, limitations and other components of the model. Do not just give the model mathematically, you must describe why they have developed this model and what its primary decision purpose is it provides. That is in a financial they are finding the maximum return while minimizing.
3. Discussion of how the model could be modified, its performance to solve the problem and any shortcomings.
4. Discuss the results of the article.
5. Lastly, discuss how this model could be used in another applications, that is, are any parts of the model useful to other fields, applications, or relevant problems.
6. Describe the solution methodology used if any and what types of algorithms or methodologies were used to solve the problem. Discuss its efficiency.
7. Provide additional references in MLA style. Please use a 12 font, with double spacing, 1? margins, and include a title sheet and the article that was chosen. Finally, it must be well written with minimal number of grammatical errors and mistakes.
8. Length of the document. The document should no be less than 15 pages (double spaced) This includes diagrams and figures, equations and discussion.
