For example, many organizations have human resource departments that have formal written policies and procedures for handling conflicts between personnel. Other smaller organizations may have informal policies for handling conflicts including, for example, the designation of an individual who is often the de facto mediator.
1-In this paper you will clearly delineate the processes that your organization has for managing conflicts.
2-You will discuss a conflict that has occurred in the organization and how the organizational leadership has dealt with the problem.
3-Moreover, provide a critique of how the organization has managed the conflict. Utilize your readings in the Deutsch & Coleman and Pruit & Kim texts in order to explicate the origins, causes, and dynamics involved in the conflict you selected.
4-Make certain to discuss the issues of power and justice as they relate to the conflict as well as the use of contentious tactics, if applicable, that were employed by all parties involved.
5-Furthermore, you should propose an approach to address the conflict regardless of what was actually done by the organization. Again, you should utilize your assigned readings to accomplish these tasks and cite the authors accordingly.
6-You should conduct a literature review and identify 12 professional articles, at minimum, from peer reviewed journals to incorporate into your paper. These articles should be related to conflict resolution and your organizational milieu. For example, if the conflict you write about is in a K-12 setting then the articles you obtain should be related to conflict resolution in K-12 settings. Make certain to use pseudonyms rather than the real names of individuals and the organization involved in the conflict.
