This Paper is on the book “Out of My Mind” by Sharon Draper (2010). It should consist of a summary and answer ALL 3 questions.
Summary: The summary precisely describes the content of the book. Tell me the story, briefly. In addition, describe and define the person?s disability and characteristics associated with that disability. Describe the strengths and weakness of the individual with a disability?
Questions (critical assessment of the content):
1. What is the authors main point, view point, and purpose?
2. How does the author portray the disability? In a positive or negative light? What emotional do you think the author was trying to evoke in the reader. Describe your reaction to the portrayal of the individual in light of our conversations in class.
3. Would you recommended that your peers read this book? Would you recommend that individuals with disabilities read the book? Would you recommend that high school students read this book? Explain.
