personal career plan

An organization’s ability to assist its employees in their ongoing career planning and development can lead to increased employee retention, loyalty, and productivity. To provide a personally meaningful experience in this important area of career management, you will complete a useful personal career planning report (5-8 pages, double-spaced) by doing the following:

Â

1.     Complete one or more of the free career self-assessments available at this website:

https://www.cacareerzone.org/assessments.

Â

2.     Take careful notes on Liz Powell’s class visit on March 21 (she’s from our Office of Career and Professional Development) and attend the March 23 Career Expo (noon-3 PM in UHall). Gather information about job opportunity and employer interests and priorities for new hires today (i.e., what kind of talent they are looking for).Â

Â

Based on items 1 and 2 above and what you gained this semester from your readings, class discussions, team learning assignments, consider useful insights relevant to your future success as an employee, manager, and leader. Then prepare a 3-page+ (double-spaced) Personal Career Planning Report on these insights and upload onto Blackboard by the deadline indicated on the course schedule   Â
