Short Essay 1: Choosing an Agency for whom to write your Grant:
write a three (3) page paper with a minimum of three (3) references, used as in text citations using APA 6th edition citation form and style, elaborating on the history, mission, and funding sources (to include grant sources) currently used by the agency or organization that you have chosen to focus upon this semester for your grant writing project.

At least three (3) source citations are required for this assignment using APA 6th edition form and citation style. The sources should be used as in text citations and included in your reference list at the end of your assignment submission.

RUBRIC:
The criteria for evaluating the weekly assignment are:
Synthesis of Knowledge 20%: Does the paper cohesively link concepts and learning objectives to the current topic?
Foundation of Knowledge 20%: Does the paper incorporate appropriate source material to develop and substantiate the analysis.
Application of Knowledge 20%: Does the student effectively communicate concepts and ideas?
Organization of Ideas/Format 20%: Does the paper follow APA formatting and style guidelines? There is an introduction, logical body, and summary.
Writing Skill / Research Skill 20%: The paper is grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. The paper is in the active voice. Does the student demonstrate an ability to perform independent academic research by incorporating peer review academic articles, books, or other material from government institutions?
