Discussion (30 points): Population Demographics

Choose one country in the world. Research to find the following population demographics for that country:

• total population
• growth rate
• total fertility rate
• life expectancy

Then answer the following questions about your chosen country:

• In which phase of the demographic transition model is this country located?
• Are there currently any concerns about population growth/decline in this country?
• What population control methods are being used in this country, either currently or in the past?
• Is the growing human population a concern to you? (Globally, not just the chosen country for this discussion). Why or why not? How do you feel about population growth control methods?
