Potential exposure to pathogenic organisms
1) The three different categories of industrial hygiene prevention and control strategies are Administrative Controls (which includes publicized rules and guidelines), Personal Protective Equipment, and Engineering Controls. Choose the one of these that you feel is the MOST important in ensuring worker safety, explain why, and give a specific example from your outside readings where use of that control has prevented
workplace injuries (or IGNORING that control has CAUSED workplace injuries).
2Describe an example from your own experience (or from a reliable outside source) of potential exposure to pathogenic organisms in a workplace. Based on specific OSHA, NIOSH, and/or CDC regulations and guidelines, describe in detail which relevant rules were followed and which were not, and the consequences.
