Integrate one of the sciences or social studies into at least half of your lessons. Develop five centers/stations for independent learning. Include in your assignment a cover-page giving a brief overview of the weeklong unit. The overview can be very simple, yet needs to be professional. Then include the lessons. Each lesson should address a standard, objective, procedures, materials, and method of assessment. The standard should be specifically stated in the lesson plan and come from the Common Core Standards or Vermont Early Learning Standards. The objective should state what the students will be able to do or what they will know by participating in the lesson. The objective should also address the percentage of students that will pass the assessment in order for you to move on to the next lesson. This is usually 75%. The procedures need to be specific enough that any professional could follow your plan without feedback from you. The assessment should state how each student will demonstrate that they can do what is expected in your objective. Be specific when listing the materials needed for your lesson.
