Case Study: Quality Function Deployment – “House of Quality”
A company that manufactures smart headphones wants to expand their product line by developing competitive smart headphones by applying HOQ method.
This will include identifying customers needs (voice of customer) as well as technical requirements that show how the organization is going to design such product specifications as perceived by customers.
Moreover, developing a planned satisfaction rating target for the new product and presenting the interrelations between VOC and the technical requirements until eventually benchmark the new product with other competitors and finalize the new product’s specifications / features that will compete with others in the market.
We made a survey of opinion for our company and competitors and put some of the customer’s requirements to take points from 1-5 based on customer’s satisfaction of this requirements.
The questionnaire was distributed to the 15 customers who use our products and the products of our competitors and we took an average for these 15 customers and the result determined the Customer importance, CS Rating our Headphones ,CS Rating Competitor A and CS Rating Competitor B.And based on that we build the House Of Quality(HOQ).
