Prepare a Research question project
Pick a research question having to do with infancy that is, a question that you want to find out the answer to. It does not necessarily have to be something covered in this class; however, it does have to be a research question related to infancy, broadly speaking. This youtube video explains how to come up with a good research question.
Overall Structure:
Your goal in this assignment is to present a research question and then present what you consider to be the best answer to that question based on the information currently available. A good research question will not have one simple, straightforward answer, so you should clearly articulate the answer that you think is the most correct. This is your thesis statement. You should then present evidence that supports this thesis statement. However, you should also present the best evidence or that conflicts with your position, and then explain why this evidence is not sufficiently convincing. Your ultimate goal is to convince the reader that your answer is the most accurate of the possible answers, using the evidence and information youve identified in your research.

You must cite at least 5 references that are published in peer-reviewed professional journals, which means that you must READ at least 5 references, not just their abstracts!
You must also cite at least 2 additional references, which can be from any source, including, but not limited to peer-reviewed professional journals. You may find these references on the internet or in print or online “popular press, but please keep in mind that information on the web is not evaluated or regulated by anyone. Here is a good guide for evaluating the quality of information you find on the internet.
Length and format:
I anticipate that the text portion of most papers (excluding title page and references) will be 6 pages in length. They may not be shorter than 5 pages or longer than 10 pages, double-spaced, with reasonable font and margin sizes.
Your paper should be written in APA format. Here is a great online resource on proper APA format. In general, its the same format as most of the empirical articles we have read in class.
