Using the elements of drama you’ve read about, here (http://writingcenter.unc.edu/handouts/drama/) describe how they are applied to this specific production. Provide an overall evaluation of the play and your response to this specific dramatic production/film. What did you like/not like? What choices does this dramatization make in adapting the play? Was there anything unexpected or unusual in this version? Keep in mind that your response should demonstrate your writing skills so far–putting forward a strong point of view (thesis) with detailed support from the play under analysis.
Clarification: This question is meant for your to analyze how the production adapts the play (moving from the text to the stage or film). Therefore, be sure that you have clearly indicated the basic facts of the production (who directed it and when/date or production/any important background features) and thoroughly addressed the ways in which the production made use of the original text (how were characters portrayed, important events dramatized etc.). All of the questions in the instructions here need to be thoroughly addressed in terms of the production you viewed, since the question is not primarily about the text of the play itself but about how it’s been adapted for the specific production.
