Guideline for a group presentation and an individual project Group Presentation Topic—any of topics related to sociological issue For example, you can do the research
on race and gener inequality in America.And in your final assessment you can elaborate whether any of theories we discussed be applicable or not applicable on your
study. Work—you can do this as a group or an individual project However, each member of a group can chose a different topic with a group. If this is an individual
project, you can choose more than one topic. Survey and Interview—you can do the survey for your observation group or conduct in-depth interview with person(s) of
your choice in your observation group. Your group or you will have extra points (15 points at least) for this. (survey question can be anywhere between 5 to 10
questions for 5 to 10 people and you can do 1 to 3 in-depth interviews). Grading—For a group presentation, you will be graded by a) team work (20 points) b)
performance (20 points) c) the content of your observation (20 points). For an individual project, if you decide not to present, you will be graded by a) the content
of your observation (20 points) b) basic understandings of materials (theories, situation) c) a logical consistency of your observation (20 points). The presentation
will begin on August 22nd (Monday).
