At the time I decided to take theological course, I was determined to study
in a college that has the best quality and facilities because I have come to realize
that when become a pastor at a Seventh Day Adventist church, I will be a role
model for the members of the congregations where I will be serving and for the
environment where I will be living. Both for my knowledge in spiritual matters and
in my daily life. Therefore, I started to make a comparison between the Adventist
university of Indonesia which is located in Bandung and Avondale college which
is located in Sydney, Australia. And I found that there is an obvious/distinct and
huge difference between the two colleges with regard to their qualities and
facilities. Avondale College has a very good and complete facilities in which it
has a very complete resource books which can support my education in the
department of theology compared with the facilities available in the Seventh Day
Adventist Theological College in Indonesia. And the teaching staffs with the
Avondale College are those who have had wide experience in their respective
field of study and most of them have earned highest university degree. I will have
a strong theological basics and the best quality that will surely support my calling
as a pastor in the future. In my mind, tuition and course fee in the Avondale
College is relevant to the best quality of education that I will get when I study
here.
And the reason I need to extend my student visa that I took one year of general
studies course at Avondale College and it’s increased my english academic
abilities. And also I need to take the subjects which previously were fails. My
plans after graduation will be applying for work in the Seventh-day Adventist
Church in Indonesia and job placement is determined by the office Conferences
in Indonesia. And I’ll work anywhere in place by Indonesia Conferences office.
