For this task, you will reflect on what you have learned about research design in previous courses, the guidance above, your instructor’s feedback, and ethical and practical considerations about the kind of study needed to address the problem. Then, you will write a problem statement, purpose, and research question(s) based on the artifacts from your last three assignments (annotated bibliography, debates in the field, and the literature review).
At the bottom of your paper, paste the Problem and Purpose Statement and Research Questions section from the PPT Concept paper (located under the heading Dissertation Conference Calls) ,and then explain how your statement meets the criteria for these sections.
Length: 1-2 pages
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Review APA Form and Style.
Instructions for part 2: 2nd and 3rd page
For this task, prepare for your Signature Assignment by identifying potential obstacles, and then develop a plan to overcome them. Be sure to include strategies for self-care and time management.
Using the course resource and any one or all of the books or articles in the dissertation planning resources, the course’s supplemental resources, or any other book or website of your choice as a guide, write a paper in which you discuss possible obstacles to completing your dissertation and describe the strategies you will use to avoid or overcome them, and generally, how you will take care of yourself throughout the rest of your career as a doctoral student. Or, if you don’t want in any way to focus on negatives, identify the positive steps you will embrace to remain on a path to success!
The APA format is not required for this paper. Actually, it should be in a format that is easy for you to refer to and use. Print it and keep it by your desk or save it as an icon on your desktop. If your plan includes making a plan or a timeline as part of this assignment, keep that handy too.
