Watch/read/listen to Longitude by Dava Sobel. Write a reflection essay on what you watched/read/listened to. The essay may answer questions, such as: What was the most interesting part of the movie/book? Who solved the problem of navigation first and was this what you thought the solution would be? Where did the majority of the movie take place, what do you like or think about this area? What is Greenwich, why would you go there, and what might you do there if you took a trip there? What aspects of the film made you think about astronomy, biographies of astronomers, or physics? The reflection essay should be three to five pages, double spaced, 12 pt. font.
