For the Reflection Paper, please give some thought to EP 2.1.6:
EP 2.1.6?Engage in research-informed practice and practice-informed research.
? Recognize the importance of culture, race, gender, sexual diversity, and other forms of diversity when making decisions for best interventions in social work.
? Identify evidence-based practices best suited for social work practitioners in generalist social work practice.
? Understand the importance of question formation when reviewing the best interventions for social work practice and the clients served.
? Demonstrate the ability to perform an exhaustive search for evidence-based interventions for a particular client?s needs.
? Demonstrate the ability to critically appraise studies and reviews related to interventions of interest.
? Demonstrate the ability to select and implement the most relevant evidence-based intervention for your client?s needs.
? Demonstrate the ability to monitor client?s progress after an evidence-based intervention has been implemented.
Address each one (each one as in “each sub-point”) thoughtfully in light of your Case Study. You should give me a sense of how competent you feel in terms of each of these . . . well . . . competencies. It’s possible – probable, even – that I will assign this again for the very end of the semester, asking you to address each again in light of what you’ve learned since now. Use the Practice Behaviors in the syllabus to help you address the EP and its Practice Behaviors.
