Write a proposal for the desk-based (A desk-based dissertation – a traditional research-based dissertation related to a topic jointly agreed by student and (intended) dissertation supervisor.) dissertation on big data and corporate data responsibility. The chosen methodology is: systematic literature review.

In brief, the research proposal is a preliminary report to help the students clarify their focus, objectives, academic literature, and methods. It should be structured in the following way:

1. Your name and contact details (phone and e-mail).

2.ï‚· Your dissertation title, which indicates the proposed area of study (note: this can be modified as the research work progresses).

3.ï‚· A statement of your research question followed by a brief but thorough literature review (including citation of key references) addressing what is currently known about the topic you intend to research.

4.ï‚· Your likely research method (including whether it will be qualitative or quantitative or mixed, and why).

5.ï‚· Preliminary details about:

-How you will collect your data (including sample profile and measures/interview questions), and

-How you will analyse your data (including a specific mention of which

methods will be used).

6.ï‚· A brief section on any ethical or confidentiality issues that is expected to encounter in the dissertation.

7.ï‚· A clear timetable for the research plan (using a visual indicator, e.g., Gantt chart). (the final dissertation (10000 words) is due September 9th, 2018)
