Research paper-Rodney King and the LA riots of 1992
The paper has to be 8 to 10 pages and it should basically talk about why these events occurred. The events being the Rodney King beating and the L.A. riots of 1992 which stemmed from the beating. It should talk about why it’s is important for us to know these events, what lessons this moment in time left for us and it affected the current times. Also try to refer to police brutality now like Philando Castile and Trayvon Martin. King’s beating was recorded and it needs to be said in the paper why he does this and also it needs to talk about how technology has changed since that moment and how a lot more things are being recorded. Also try to answer this question within the paper, what type of impact did the beating of Rodney King. And the LA riots of 1992 have on America. Sources can be from the internet but also try to use books, documentaries, etc. Also look at the Jim Crow law and the history of blacks & police. Below I listed some of my notes but it can be added on to and those are from the internet so if you could use documentaries and books, it would be helpful.
