Research Variables
Effectively answering one’s research question requires the development of research variables through which a hypothesis can be evaluated. Using the course reading assignments and after watching Hypothesis 101 (LINK BELOW) (and other Social science concepts) by Dr Wollman identify two qualities of good research variables. (Note: the section of the video on variables is the first 15 minutes.) Why do these characteristics improve the overall research design and its outcomes? What are common mistakes that can be made when selecting a research variable in a study?
