Responding To Peers- Education

ATTACHED IS THE VIDEO FOR THE Little Angels Learning Academy

1. Respond to your peers with whom you disagree (in other words, they cited an aspect of the program as being commendable while you thought that it could be improved; or vice versa).

2. Explain why you disagree.

3. Each response should be at least 50 words in length.
PEER 1

The Little Angel Preschool offer a very fantastic and stimulating, welcoming sensation and enriched learning environment from their children. The appearance and overall program should reflect the philosophy , mission, and vision statements of the program. This was demonstrated in video that features the elements of a high quality program. As I watched the video, there were a few elements that stand out to me, one of them was the up keep of the center, cleanliness, safety, nurturing, developmentally appropriate practices were demonstrated, materials used by the children and teachers were age appropriate and well kept. Gadzikowski, A. (2013). The appearance of a school is one of the a key factures and that was demonstrated has well. I was very impressed with the camera system that they used to track what happen in the classrooms. People were able to view and be a part of their children life. The children actively engaged in an environment that was so conducive to their learning. Hey were able to play, learn and socialize as they develop self – confidence, self efficiency, cognitive flexibility, and a working mindset as they get ready for further advancement. The entrance to the inside of the building was also attractive and inviting, the colors and charts were bright and colorful. The outdoor play area was awesome but needs more natural sources such as trees, and flowers. The setting is home. The physical environment of the inside was very organized and monitored by well trained teachers. I like how the children were engaged as they learned new skills and practice the words being taught through interaction with toys, play dough, educational games and activities. I would recommend more spacing on the inside so that children will be able to explore and do more.

PEER 2

The Little Angels Learning Academy aims at ensuring that every child receives prestigious early childhood programs. The academy is designed for those parents that desire quality, safe and secure, professional and nurturing environment for their children to grow in and it gives the children the opportunity to explore the world on their own, develop and discover their own potential. The environment of the facility is very appealing; the outside of the classroom has been made to look like a natural environment with green carpet, blue lights like the sky and trees. The inside of the classroom has been designed to look like a home; this is very soothing and comforting for children who are afraid of new environments. To unlock the door, everyone needs to have a security code; this makes it very safe and secure. One commendable aspect is the security cams that allow a parent to see their children grow; it is very thrilling because the children are placed in a free and natural environment. On aspect that needs improvement is the security of children while playing. It is notable that children play in the facility under little supervision and because children are often clumsy, it exposes them to dangers of injuries and accidents.

RESPONDING TO THE TEACHER

Good job! I believe it takes a village to raise a child! My son spent more time at daycare than at home. Both my husband and I worked, but we were lucky because Charles loved his teachers there. Building relationships with parents is essential. Parents who are active participants in their child’s life actually help their child both academically and socially. The parents know what is going on and they are able to help the child with school work and discuss what transpired with his/her peers during the course of the day. I use what’s called the sandwich method when communicating with parents.

Below is a website explaining the process. I am also including a video about how early intervention has positively affected a family. I love this video!

After reading about the sandwich method and watching the video,

1. How do you plan to build productive relationships with the families you work with as an early childhood administrator? I look forward to reading your reply.
