As the Federal Bureau of Investigations (2011) outlines, vigorous prevention programs, timely intervention, and appropriate response by organizations and their employees will contribute significantly to a safe and secure work environment. As a private security professional, it is your duty to protect assets and personnel. When workplace violence occurs, it is imperative that you and your workforce are ready for the incident. Workplace prevention requires training and understanding regarding how to detect the indicators and react effectively.
