Length:         The guideline is 2 – 3 pages, double-spaced (Times Roman 12 font with standard 1″ margins.

Introduction: This paper gives you an opportunity to “role play” as the Corporate Social Responsibility Officer for an organization of your choice.

First, consider what is important to you. Develop in your own mind what you think is the ideal CSR model would be. Next,  identify an existing a company that you would desire to work for and provide three to five specific examples as to why you chose this company. Next, you are to write a paper that would be suitable to give to the CEO of this organization. You might want to do some research on the name and interests of that person and the Mission/Vision Statement of that company or their stated social responsibility goals.

You will highlight the three to five man points that you think should be stressed for an overall CSR plan for this organization. Be sure that you pick a company that is big enough to have a CSR Officer (over 1 Million in Revenue is assumed) and not so large that they already have a SCR Officer.  Apply what you have learned from the readings to your plan outlining briefly three to five main actions that you would recommend to implement of a CSR Model. This paper is to be written as if it is to be given to the CEO with a top line analysis of main focus areas. You should be able to explain why your recommendations will provide the most leverage for the people, planet and profit of your selected organization.

You must have at least three references total and at leastone from each of the two text books (Senge or Hitchcock) citing using APA.

Once again, you will find very helpful information on any company that you choose on their Websites and by researching recent press releases. Remember you cannot use Wikipedia as a source.

Develop three reasons why you choose the company you choose (and you must choose one). Carefully weave into your paper at least three concepts from the texts and Websites (using APA and citations) to support your recommendation to the CEO.

Be sure you have an introduction, an analysis and a conclusion. The following describes how this paper will be graded. The questions and comments below are designed for you to read and consider before turning in your work.

Your paper will answer the following issues (not necessarily in this order).

  • How the company you choose matches is ideal for adding a CSR Position.
