Safety in life as he take his journey alone

Gilgamesh weep bitterly for his friend, it was hard for him to understand how this strong, brave warrior can die. Gilgamesh was on his knees praying to the moon, beacon of the Gods to keep him safe. Was Gilgamesh praying for safety from harm or safety in life as he take his journey alone? Safety in life can be interpreted in many different ways, but for Gilgamesh it means finding his own inner peace within himself. Finding that he is strong, wise and caring (sound like the famous phrase from the movie The Help). For some people it takes the death of a close friend or a family member to help you find the true meaning or purpose in life, that leads you to some justification or understanding that can guide you in the right direction in life, that can help you to move on, move away, move ahead and move up.
