Scholarly Article Critique

Scholarly Article Critique
Order Description
(Article attached). As scholars it is imperative that you read and critically analyze educational literature in the area of special education and transition. For the purpose of this assignment, you are required to submit an article critique related to a topic that interest you in the area of transition. The selected article must be from a primary source (i.e., journal articles) focusing on school-age (k-12) children with one of these 13 disabilities in IDEA. The selected article cannot be a review of the literature; it must be a review of a recent study (within the last three years) experimental in nature, with results and conclusions. The typical experimental research design in education involves subjects who are randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. The experimental group is given the experimental treatment, and both groups are given a post test that measures the dependent variable.
If you have any questions regarding the kind of research article to critique, contact your instructor prior to the due date. A photocopy of the article must be faxed to the instructor on or before the due date (fax 954.262.3826). The article can also be sent electronically. Students must use the format provided in Attachment C in this syllabus when writing their critique.

This review must be seven to nine pages in length, with only two to three pages devoted to the summary of the article, and the rest to the critique and overall assessment of the article.
