Describe

What do you see? Is it a sculpture, a photograph, a painting?
Use the terms we have learned in class, does it have texture, is it big or small? Is it representational or abstract?

How does it makes you feel, what do you think it communicates?
Is it telling a story or sending a message?
What does it tell you about the person that made it?

What can you learn about the artist’s biography and the time in history they lived? Does this change what you think the artwork is about?
What might it have meant when the artist made it? How has that changed over time? What does it mean today?
