Read the following article: Opinion: Farewell to Facebook’s false reality by Jessa Haines. Thanks to social networking, much of a person’s life is now scripted and manufactured. Many social networking users create the life they wish they had, not the life they necessarily have, and many are losing their connection to the authentic, their real selves and real friends. Address one aspect of the article while analyzing the truthfulness of your virtual / digital footprint. If someone were to spend a day in your life, would the person get a “Facebook” glimpse into who you are, complete with happy selfies, funny cat videos, and motivational quotes, or would you strip back the layers of the virtual reality you’ve created to uncover or expose the truth behind the persona? If you have no virtual footprint, consider, from an outside perspective, one point about Facebook made by the author and discuss the reasoning behind your lack of a digital footprint. Is it intentional or merely circumstantial (lack of time, for instance)?
Questions to Consider:

Is there a real you and a virtual you?
How do you use social networking?
What space does social networking occupy in your life?
How large is your digital/virtual footprint?
What digital artifacts help to define you?
Could you live without social networking?
Write a traditional thesis for the assignment with a main point and two or three supporting points to focus on in the body paragraphs. Do not use or consult sources outside of the ones provided in the module.
