Still keep in mind the significant public safety risks
You’ve just been assigned as a Sex Offender SO Parole Agent. Your responsibilities are incredible and the public exposure of your supervision means you have to be on top of your game. As the new Agent, you know that the success of your offenders relies on adequate housing so they can be properly supervised. As the new Agent, you have been invited to Community Hall Meeting and many of the housing associations have concerns about SO’s living in their neighborhood. How would you approach this meeting? Being that your an educated professional, how would calm fears and ensure to the public that you are competent and responsive? What strategies would you use to explain your role, how you supervise, and what you would do? How would balance advocating for the offender, but still keep in mind the significant public safety risks?
