2018 Effective New Product Introduction – Individual assignment #1 (9 Points)

Using the concepts discussed in lecture 1, each student writes a 2 to 4-page report on the following two topics and posts the report on eLearning by Feb 15:

1. Identify the company / industry you work in or a company / industry you want to learn more about and discuss
   1. Your role in the company or role you would like to have
   2. How that role supports the generation of product sales for the company
2. Identify a product that the company or industry introduced in the past 5 years and discuss
   1. The goods and services provided by the new product
   2. The targeted customers and end users of the new product
   3. The value proposition of the product for the customers and the end users
   4. How the value is delivered to the customers and end users through the supply network
   5. How the product is differentiated from competitors
   6. How revenue is generated by the new product
   7. Changes, if any, that were necessary to the supply chain or supply network to enable the new product introduction
