Details of task: This assessment requires you to present a case study gathered from your professional experience (i.e. local teaching context) that is focused on engaging in the process of partnership. An analysis of the case should:

1) Identify an issue / case study and analyse a significant issue within the teaching context, what is the goal /outcome you hope to achieve? including how the issue might be improved through partnership work. Your analysis of this issue should reflect an engagement with unit materials and readings.

2) Identify partnering stakeholder(s) OR create an ideal partnering stakeholder that would best address the needs/issues tied to your case/local teaching context. This should include a description of the stakeholder(s), which should reflect an engagement with unit materials and readings.

3) Provide a justification as to why the stakeholder(s) would best address the needs/issues tied to your case/local teaching context. What resources/materials are able to be provided by each partner? The justification should detail reasons why the partnering stakeholder(s) can address the needs/issues you have identified. This may include, for example, specific partnership principles and strategies used by the stakeholder(s), innovative resources provided, range of expertise, media profile, accessibility, cost, demonstrated impact, sensitivity to specific needs, etc. The justification should be supported by scholarly materials/readings.

Criteria for marking: Your assignment submission should have 4 distinct components:
1. A brief description of your case and significant issue:
? Significant, very appropriate and extremely well expressed with excellent opening/set up statements on partnerships with communities/teaching settings/families/professional support.
2. An analysis of the case that draws on and goes beyond our scholarly readings, and course materials, and that clearly defines how the issue might be improved through partnership work.
? Issues are accurately identified with excellent interpretation and analysis of challenges at hand.
? Quality of the current, peer-reviewed journal sources us ed is exemplary
? A strong critical analysis using a wide range of readings ? with the majority of these being peer—reviewed.
? Originality and own ideas are clearly evident within a high level of discussion of the literature
3. A brief description of a partnering organisation(s)
? An excellent description of organisation/s
4. A justification as to why this organisation would best address the needs presented in your case. This justification should also include the benefits afforded to the partnering organisation.
? Rationale shows justification of partnering organisation that demonstrates a very comprehensive explanation supported by theories/research/ readings.
? Benefits of the partnership to both the organisation and other participants are exemplary
? Conclusion: Is appropriate, valid, relevant and comprehensive. Excellent detail provided.
