Police Function – Old Concept or New Idea? One may assert police abandoned traditional public interaction in favor of technological interfaces – resulting in increased crime. Surplus military technology is offered to police – police often take on the appearance of (and possibly the actions of) soldiers in a combat-zone rather than community-oriented policing officers.
