Your company operates an old large oil processing plant. Due to the age or equipment, the production capability has dropped off in recent years and it is projected that in 2 years you will no longer be able to meet current contract demands.

1. It is proposed that the plant may be expanded with a “debottlenecking” project which will add a new steam generator, some tankage (storage tanks) and associated interconnecting pipe work.

2. The plant may be upgraded, replacing existing processing equipment and the old steam generator and older undersized pipe lines.
