The going rate

FYI, the attachments are for part one only. Part two is basically about computer and technology. Part 1:

Identify an exonerated case and determine the cause(s) of why it was exonerated. What additional measures can take place to increase the reliability of eyewitness testimony?  What should happen to police who plant evidence or prosecutors who withhold evidence? How can the system increase the reliability of scientific evidence? Discuss the remedies.
Part 2: 1. Databases are electronic collections of related data that help us organize data so that we can more easily access it and use it (e.g., Excel). How do databases make our lives easier? How do databases make information sharing possible? Are there any disadvantages associated with databases? 2. You may have heard people say, “There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics”. This semi-ironic statement refers to the persuasive power of numbers, and succinctly describes how even accurate statistics can be used to bolster inaccurate arguments. What is your position on the use of statistics and numbers in research and/or the media (e.g., newspaper and TV) to support an argument on any given topic? Can we believe everything we read or hear?
