Write a 200 word paper about two of the chapters from the following book. The House on Mango Street. Write about what
they mean to you and how you can relate. For me, I chose chapters 4 ( my name) and chapter 21 ( hips). In chapter 4, my
name Sandra mentioned how her name means sadness,it means waiting. Sandra was named after her grandmother. I
never really liked my name. In fact, I never met another AfricanAmerican
named like this besides my grandmother. Last
chapter I want to talk about is hips. When I was younger my friends and family would call me hips and butt. Tell Mayor hips
and butt, they would say. I have widespread hips as if I was an adult. Just like Sandra, I woke up with them out of nowhere! I
remember carrying my nieces and nephews of my hips as if I was grown.
So here’s a little bit of information from the book and from my background hopefully this will help you to create a 200 word
paper.
