Much debate existed during the Romantic period about women’s roles in society. Writers such as Mary Wollstonecraft and Anna Leticia Barbauld articulated specific options, while the positions of other Romantic writers, such as Dorothy Wordsworth, must be deduced from their works.

Reflecton the debate about women’s role in society during the Victorian period.
