Do a computer search, and pick a chemical currently in use that we are now having second thoughts about (due to emerging information or concerns about negative health or environmental outcomes associated with its use).( DO NOT WRITE ABOUT TEFLON, BUT CHOOSE A CHEMICAL THAT WE USED TO THINK WAS SAFE, BUT NOW DEEMED POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS)
Read or view several articles to educate yourself about the chemical you have chosen, and summarize its use, health concerns, current status, and what we might expect will be happening next with regard to decisions regarding its continued use. (In other words, pick a chemical that may be commonly in use and consider the “People, Poisons, and Politics” of it.)
Summarize your findings in a one page write-up, and email your report me before class, at
