Group FBO Proiect 1:

The purpose of the group project is to engage in focused learning on one FBO, while being exposed to
other types of FBO’s through classmates’ presentations. Groups are expected to create a presentation on
the FBO they visit. Presentations will be on February 20, 22, and 24.
Each group must visit the approved FBO. Students will need to coordinate their visit by calling ahead or by
emailing the FBO manager/line service manager to enable them to tour the FBO. During this visit each
group member will learn about that FBO’s operations, services provided, take any photos necessary, and
speak with staff.
This visit will result in a PowerPoint presentation that will be presented to the class. Classroom
presentations should be approximately 15 – 20 minutes in length and provide a good overview of the FBO,
its operations, any challenges currently being faced, and the group’s recommendations for how the FBO
can improve.

Areas to be studied include:

FBO location (geographic and airfield) include picture

Competition (on and off the airport)

Pictures of FBO and Services

FBO Goals and Objectives

FBO History

FBO Services

FBO Marketing Plans

Largest sources of revenue and expenses for the FBO

Challenges for the FBO

Opportunities for the FBO
