Project Risks, Lessons Learned, and the Closing Phase of the Project Life Cycle
Week 7:

Week Introduction:

Project Risks, Lessons Learned, and the Closing Phase of the Project Life Cycle

The Closing phase of the project life cycle presents project teams with the opportunity to document lessons learned from the project relative to risk management for future project teams. Doing this effectively can reduce costs and enhance the competitive success and an organization’s long-term viability. This week, read several cases related to how various organizations have managed project risks for specific projects. Then, assess the health of project risk management processes in one of them and identify lessons that could have been and/or were captured by the project team during the Closing phase of the project life cycle.
