Informational e-mail Message
Compose an informational e-mail message to your project team (you can simply write ‘Project Team’ in the TO: heading).
The purpose of this email is to provide your team with a profile of yourself as a team collaborator. Your e-mail should answer the following questions:
a) What do you uniquely bring to a team dynamic in terms of your personality characteristics and quirks?
b) What formal role do you normally like to take on in a team? Why?
c) What informal role do you normally like to take on in a team? Why?
d) What do you most like about working in a team? Why?
e) What do you like least about working in a team? Why?
f) How do you overcome conflict when working in a team?
g) What do you consider the two most important qualities in a fellow team member?
h) What are four guidelines or rules you would like to see implemented in your team contract?
Remember to use standard, full-block format for your e-mail message with headings, TO:, FROM: DATE:, and SUBJECT: at the top of the message.
Give your message an appropriate subject heading. Since this is an informational message (as opposed to a negative or persuasive message), use the direct approach as your organizational pattern.
