Our focus this week will be to understand a united cause but a divided womanhood. The materials below will introduce you to an event that is noted as the beginning of the first wave of the Women’s Movement, the foremothers of this movement and early political African American women. Remember to take copious notes and write a 2-3 page synopsis about the content of the reading and video which should focus on the key players, events, obstacles, challenges and successes. Your writing must be contextually sound (based on the work), and include concrete examples, facts and information.
