Your goal is to apply the concepts from the units reading and lecture as to create a 5-question SurveyMonkey survey using a free account. (You can learn how to create a SurveyMonkey survey at this link.) The survey should be accompanied by a paragraph explaining how the survey helps you (as a researcher) gain insight into a professional problem or concern using statistics such as median, mode, and whether the data is skewed to the left or right.
For example, pretend you were concerned about employee satisfaction involving the exchange (or cashing in) of holiday payday bonuses for additional flex time. Being the researcher at your firm, you naturally create a Likert scaled short survey as to measure how satisfied employees are with the ability cash in holiday pay for flex time. After delivering the survey and collecting data, you would look for median and mode for each question as to gain a sense of how strongly participants agreed (or disagreed) with the survey questions. The resulting statistical values may be used to infer whether employees are satisfied with the ability to cash in.
This presentation requires the following:
You should post the URL to the SurveyMonkey survey along with the few paragraphs mentioned above. Your reader should be able to review the survey and your logic as to conclude the brief survey adhered to its purpose and stands a chance to help you gain insight into a professional problem.
Your presentation will be graded using the rubric. Also, you are encouraged to offer constructive critiques and questions for classmates.
The quiz contains 10 questions taken from the unit’s reading assignment. Please familiarize yourself with the unit’s readings before taking the quiz. The quiz is allotted 90 minutes and may be repeated once—for a maximum of two attempts. Your grade equals the highest score earned for both attempts.
