Should we view access to a restaurant such as a Dairy Queen different compared to access to community resource such as a library?

Case Discussion

After reading the attached Case Study…briefly answer the 3 questions below

Question: Should we view access to a restaurant such as a Dairy Queen different compared to access to community resource such as a library? Should they be viewed

differently because tax dollars support one and not the other?

Question:

In our project plan, we suggest raising local funding support. Babcock Place’s residents are utilizing subsidized housing so it is highly unlikely they can contribute

financially. We would need to approach the local businesses and groups, like the cited neighborhood association, for funding. How would you suggest we successfully

engage those groups to secure funds?

Question: Perhaps not in this case, but it’s not uncommon for organizations to encounter vocal minorities. They can take up a lot of time, even though they don’t

represent the thoughts of the majority. What thoughts do you have on how to handle such groups when it’s reached the point of needing to move on to other work/issues?
