Video Bonanza
Design and code a project to calculate the amount due and provide a summary of rentals. All movies rent for $1.80 and all customers receive a 10 percent discount. The
form should contain input for the member number and the number of movies rented. Inside a group box, display the rental amount, the 10 percent discount, and the amount
due. Inside a second group box, display the number of customers served and the total rental income (after discount). Include buttons for Calculate, Clear, Print, and
Exit. The Clear button clears the information for the current rental but does not clear the summary information. A Print button allows the user to print the form. Do
not allow bad input data to cancel the program; instead display a message to the user.
Assignment Instructions
Complete the Video Bonanza Case Study exercises for Chapter 3.
For Chapter 3 Video Bonanza Case Study, continue with the project you developed in Chapter 2.
That is, begin with your project folder Chapter 2, and make a copy of it. (Select it with the mouse, drag over slightly, press and hold the Control key, and release
the mouse button.)
You should have your original Chapter 2 folder and a new one titled Chapter 2 Copy.
Right-click on the Chapter 2 Copy folder and rename it to Chapter 3. Then open the folder, locate the Project Solution (.SLN) file and double click that to launch
Visual Studio.
Save your VB project source code in a zipped file folder.
When you have completed your assignment, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Dropbox by the end of the workshop. Be sure to include
your last name in the title of your zip file (i.e. Example: Amanda Smith wants to submit her Workshop 2, Activity 4 assignment: SMITH-WS2A4.zip)
