Find an example of deviance in the media (must be a reputable news media source such as The New York Times or The Washington Post) that was reported by that media source on the day you complete the assignment. In other words, you cannot just type the word “deviance” and do a search. You must use a current report (not something in the archives).

How do you know this is an example of deviance? Make sure to define deviance in your explanation and discuss the following factors—the social and cultural context (where and when), whether there are differences in values among groups and within the society it occurs, and whether the behavior, belief, or condition is voluntary or involuntary.
