Your analysis should also include a discussion of the author’s rhetorical strategies; in other words, who is their intended audience? What’s the author’s purpose? What is the author’s angle, and how does that contribute to the meaning of the text? Keep in mind that while authors use different strategies to achieve their purposes, you also need to be making points and evaluations about these strategies, not simply summarizing them.
