Write an essay that compare the the two programs/ English
In the article, “Wanted in China,” it discusses a program that China is instituting in an attempt to recruit men to become teachers, so that they can help boys to stop falling behind girls in the classroom. New York City has a similar program, which I first saw on a subway advertisement and then tracked down the advertisement for online.
In an essay of no less than 1,000 words, compare the two programs and make an argument for what these programs illustrate about the two cultures. In analyzing the advertisement for NYC Teach, make sure that you analyze the video fully. Think about who they are quoting, what type of music is playing in the background, etc.
